 "After 26 years of use, my husband and I wanted a new kitchen. I started working on the design with another firm that we had used for other remodels in the past. They were hard to contact and they did not return calls in a timely fashion. They were nice, but just not committed to service. It just became very frustrating for us, and we finely decided we did not want to continue using them.
My sister and another close friend had used KCI for their remodel projects and all had spoken so highly of the great service and quality of the workmanship, that we switched to KCI. I worked with Dieter Steindamm, owner of KCI, and found him always available (even on weekends), and that he had very useful and practical suggestions for the design. Dieter was excellent in helping me express my design into specific cabinet features. Dieter clearly knows his business and the products he represents, and skillfully guided me into a magnificent kitchen. He caught many little mistakes I had made in my design, like clearance for drawers in corner situations.
We are "do-it-yourself" types, and at 70 years old, Dieter was concerned that we intended to remodel the space and install the new kitchen ourselves. His expertise and availability gave us confidence that we could pull it off. And we did.
There were some places where we needed help from a few sub-contractors, and the ones provided by KCI were skilled and very easy to work with. We now have a fantastic kitchen that will last us for our last 30 years, thanks to Dieter and his staff."

"We decided to remodel our kitchen and baths in July while vacationing for a couple weeks. We visited your showroom and made arrangements for you to come to the job site and take some measurements and go over what we wanted to accomplish. You explained what the job would entail including moving plumbing, adding electrical and carpentry work. You also suggested, from your experience, things that would be beneficial, for example, moving the stove over two inches so that when the hot water heater needed to be accessed it would be easier. Before we left the Island we picked the cabinets, granite and sinks. The rest was taken care of by faxes and emails, which included appliances, lighting, sink fixtures, etc. The communication was excellent. We really feel that had our contractor been someone else we would still be in the process of remodeling.
